Pyramids manager Sebastien Desabre has made it clear that Ahmed Ali is not part of his plans.

The 33-year-old striker joined Pyramids ahead of the current season from fellow Egyptian side Arab Contractors.

Ali has made only two appearances for Pyramids this season and Desabre explained that the player doesn’t fit his playing style.

“Ahmed Ali hasn’t featured lately for technical reasons,” Desabre said on King Fut.

“I like to play forwards who can drop deep in the center of the pitch and our formation depends on just one striker, so I have to adjust accordingly.

“He can play in the future but not in the meantime and he has to accept that and fight for his place in the starting lineup. At the moment, Ali is not in my plans,” he added.

He finished last season as the Egyptian Premier League’s top scorer with 18 goals in 28 games while playing for Arab Contractors.
