Cameroon striker ends long goal drought with brace

Forgotten Cameroon striker Vincent Aboubakar will hope his fortunes have finally changed after he netted a brace for FC Porto ion their 2-1 UEFA Europa League victory at Young Boys on Thursday.
The goals were his first in an astonishing 14 months as injury and loss of form have seriously curtailed his game-time, and led to him being left out of Cameroon’s squad for the 2019 Africa Cup of Nations.
Both goals were assisted by Mali international Moussa Marega, and so truly made in Africa.
The 27-year-old Aboubakar, who was influential as the Indomitable Lions lifted the continental trophy in 2017, will hope that his goals are the start of a run of form that gets him back into the regular frame for both club and country.
His next ambition will be to start for Porto when they face Pacos Ferreira in a Portuguese league game on Monday.
Porto need a draw in their final Europa League pool game at home to Dutch side Feyenoord to advance to the knockout stages.
