Huddersfield Town winger Ramadan Sobhi is keen to win the 2019 Under-23 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) title with Egypt.
Egypt will host the 2019 U-23 AFCON finals between November 8 and November 22 in Cairo.
The top three teams from the tournament will qualify for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics which will be hosted by Japan.
Egypt U23 captain Ramadan Sobhi, who is on loan at Egyptian giants Al Ahly from English side Huddersfield, is looking forward to the tournament.
“I hope that luck will be on our side. The players and the coaching staff are all ready to face the best eight teams in Africa,” Sobhi told Time Sports TV channel.
“Players feel the responsibility and we’re talking among each other about winning the tournament. We don’t need any player or anyone to motivate us.
“I hope to see a large number of fans supporting us in the stands, as my teammates and I didn’t have the chance to frequently play in front of a crowd,” he added.
“I promise the fans that we will do our best to achieve our goals,” he concluded.
Egypt are in Group A along with Mali, Cameroon and Ghana.
