Rangers doctor Emeka Onyia has disclosed that injured striker Ifeanyi Egwim could start walking again in three weeks after a second successful surgery in Enugu Tuesday.
Egwim suffered a double leg fracture in Sunday’s championship decider against El Kanemi Warriors at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu.
Doctor Onyia said the experienced striker will soon be on the mend.
“Today’s surgery last three hours in all. We gave him the best that could be got anywhere as well as the best we could offer,” said Onyia.
“He will start walking in about two, three weeks and hopefully he could start playing again in four months.”
Tuesday’s surgery was done at the National Orthopedic Hospital in Enugu, where the first operation was done Sunday night.
