No fewer than four Nigerians will be in Spanish LaLiga action on Saturday.

The 2019/20 season officially kicked off on Friday evening, with Athletic Bilbao claiming a 1-0 win over defending champions Barcelona in the opening game of the season.

Saturday’s action gets underway at Balaídos where Celta Vigo will play host to Real Madrid. Ghana’s Joseph Aidoo has been named on the bench for the hosts who will take on a Los Blancos side who start the season under a cloud following a controversial off season.

Despite all the turmoil surrounding Gareth Bale’s future, the Welshman starts for Real who are without new signing Eden Hazard due to injury.

Elsewhere, Central African Republic midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia’s Valencia kick-off their campaign at home to Real Sociedad while Granda, who boast two Africans in Ramon Azeez (Nigeria) and Yan Eteki (Cameroon) are away to Villarreal.

Azeez and Eteki will be hoping to cause a major upset against their fellow countrymen who don the famous Yellow Submarine kit.

Super Eagles winger Samuel Chukwueze is set for a huge season following a breakthrough campaign with Villarreal while Indomitable Lions midfielder Karl Toko Ekambi has been joined by fellow countryman André Zambo Anguissa at Estadio de la Cerámica.

Moreover, Nigeria’s Chidozie Awaziem could make his competitive debut for Leganes alongside Kenneth Omeruo this evening. The two Nigerian’s will be hoping to play their part in defence, while Morocco’s Youssef En-Nesyri aims to kick on from where he left off in front of goal for the club last season.
